Just got done checking out my old tyres after picking up my new wheels from Josh. Haven't had a chance to get them mounted on my ZX, my current tyres are wearing weird. The insides of both fronts have almost no tread left, the outside edges are better but also heavily worn.
I installed the SVT suspension, but did not have an alignment done. Are my tyres telling me that I need on at this time?

I am going to pick up some new rubber tommorow, and do not want to waste a good set of tyres.

As much as I hate having to get an alingement, it's pretty much required when you replace the dampners. So yeah, get the alignment either before or soon after you mount those new treads. Otherwise, expect the same wear pattern to show up again. Very odd to be wearing the inside and outside. Usually it's one or the other. The alignment mar very well result in better ride/handling too.

Yep, got an appointment on Monday to get 'er done.

Damn, my first post was pretty coherent considering how drunk I was when I was typing it. Huh.

Cheers,

if it's inside AND outside it can be caused by two things

-bad camber wearing inside and hard cornering wearing outside
-low tire pressure and bad alignment
I wear my sunglasses at night.
