Hey, I placed an order for a set of flat black Slipstream's 16x7 4x108 45et HB63.35 for 550 shipped from 18racing. I was informed that they would only order non stock wheels after they reach an order of 5 sets(i.e. same colour, size, etc). So if anyone was thinking of the above mentioned slipstreams shoot a call too 925-339-3828 or try their website http://www.18racing.com/ . One set is already ordered so need 4 more. I also know from them that one set of gold slipstream for the focus is also ordered which i assume same size as mine since they asked if wanted to change to gold. I am no way associated with 18racing or Rota I just wanted to be sure to get a set.

Thank
Brandon

18racing.com is legit. The requirement is ridiculous, but that's the way Rota works. How long did they say it would take to receive the wheels once 5 sets have been ordered?

When i had talked to them they said 2 months but could be 1 if the orders were filled. From my dealings with them they do seem legit. I ordered online sat and they canceled and refunded by monday due to the fact they did not have them in stock. The accompanying email stated to call so i did and found out the reason they canceled was because of the minimum order requirement. It was explained to me that they did not want to mislead me as i would have had to wait 2 months, or more, which most likely has pissed off people in the past(guessing there, my words) so they just refunded.
So i think it may take as little as a month if the orders are placed but they will not know until that time the orders are filled. And this applies to any wheel offered which is a non stock. And as stated 1 set of flat black and 1 set of gold has been placed so each needs 4 more to complete. Also feel free to contact them which is preferred. The sales person I talked to never gave me her name but I also never asked for it either.

Darn...if you were looking at a set of 17x7 I'd strongly consider it, although, I'm not too big of a fan of the slipstreams :/

You can always put money down(which i did). My wheels are 550 so they had me put down 275. I'm just hoping not having to wait 2-4 months for wheels. You can always put money down then post up and see if anyone else will also order, and i think it only matters if they order in the continental US.

That would be a miracle. Rota USA has to order the wheels from Rota Philippines. Chances are they will not have 4x108 blanks drilled, so they will need to be drilled and sprayed. This puts the wheels in to a manufacturing order. How many weeks it takes a manufacturer to work the order is dependent on many factors. Once the wheels are done, they are loaded in a cargo container. Sometimes, it means waiting for a cargo container that has room. There is a cargo schedule for Rota USA, meaning it could be anything from receiving one container every week, to every 6-12 weeks. This holds up the process as water time is usually around 2 weeks, so depending on when the order hits the shipping cycle, the wheels might sit in the Philippines until the container is scheduled in cycle to ship.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Just filling you in on process. 18racing isn't going to take the time to explain it and they will not have the manufacturing info that Rota USA can obtain from Rota Philippines to get the particulars. I am not bashing 18.
It's just the wheel business.

Great info. Thats why i was hoping to get enough orders so they placed the order instead of maybe having to wait another 3 months for them to fill the order then place the order with manufacturer.
