Well I can get to a lot more of the engine now, guess I'll have to go over it with a fine brush before the next meet to make it presentable.
I should show you the picture of my engine bay about 2 years ago when I decided to clean it for the first time.

Maybe this should be a different thread, but what do you guys use to clean off your engine and such?

gum out engine degreaser + simple green

Mine just stays clean
Actually, I usually just wipe it down with a damp cloth or glass cleaner. On the off chance that there is something those won't get then brakeclean gets the nod.
The key is to not let anything leak...........Justin

This is what mine looked like on...4/24/2005, not that long ago, this is when I decided to find a way to clean my engine bay, which lead me to the wonderful world of aftermarket focus parts.

i use greased lighting, on a mild warm engine, let it sit for 1 minute spray clean ( high pressuer) and i use a water based tire shine on all the plastic parts i need to defingure print the headr but thats a lot of work, they are cooked on.
