got my deck in today.
Alpine CDA-7894 23wattsx4 @ 4ohms RMS, 60x4@4 MAX
I love this deck.
and the components sound 10 times better! w00t.
now I have to get my time corrections set and I'll be golden (until I get amps and subs to complete everything)

yep. spot for my ipod and phone. AUX input will come through the back of the cubby for the ipod. I think I will hardwire my phone charger into it as well so I can have a permanent charging spot w/o wires hanging out everywhere.

More toys for my Focus!
a three pack of Boston Acoustics Competitor 1200's!
with a box that fits perfect in the hatch of my car!
i know.,.. nothing great. but I broke my budget on amps and I think I did pretty well with my $120 I had left.
also found a triplet of Xtant amps! 2 301a's and a 1001dx for a killer price!

yea I know. Circuit city and best buy both sell shitty kits and they're like $25/each plus the wiring harness.
at ultimate electronics, you can get Metra kits which are better quality and surprisingly HALF the price. I pait retail on mine and it was less than $30 for BOTh the harness and hit.

Yea. I am running them on my deck right now (23x4 rms).
I like how they sound but I'm hoping they'll really come to life when paired with the xtant 301a's (300x1@2, 300x1@4... regulated power supply FTW!)
I probably wont be doing a proper system install until spring. (amps, 12g wiring, sound deadener, everything tucked away nice and clean)
...
if they can't take the power, I think I'll be getting something a bit more extreme or a second pair and glass them all into the front doors
