What ever it is it should be as local as possible to the event if we are trying to get $$ off of the event if not and you are looking for something to get $$ from local as well as other areas then I would suggest something more global. Local could be a no-kill private animal shelter or a donating to a local people shelter (battered women, kids), possibly providing funds for a kid oriented project such as a playground if we can tag our effort with a local Lions , VFW, or Rotary or.... project then we could get a bit more pub and help a worthy cause. If we want something more global then local I would suggest helping out the military men and women some way.
