I give that hood MAYBE two Minnesota winters before it's swiss cheese.

You know that wouldn't be a bad idea.... Like a clear hood but its rusty and it has holes in it so you could see the uber nice engine parts also it would have a purpose heat extractor and induction. Oh and don't forget about the weight reduction

You may very well have started the next trend. What a natural progression from the rusty one. I can see it now.

I don't see how the hood could start to rust thru with holes. And I'm also not seeing how the rust is effecting the strutctual integrity or the latch. But thanks anyway

i keep forgetting you dont drive that wounderfuly decidant ,smooth sexy...........hghgmmmmm, sorry i know the rust is either painted or just surface patina, but still it is minnesota and they spray salt in the summer, so its only a matter of time before yer hood is more armor plating for the windshield than a cover for yer clean, spotless, centrificly blown...............again im sorry. 8)

Actually I've been keeping an eye on that hood and other than a delightful surface fur of rust it's still structurally solid ! Now I'm not an expert on rust but after owning mostly Chevys for 45 years I beleive I should recognize the danger signs ! For all of you that love that hood you'll be happy to know it could last for years .Hell in a year or two Steve will probally want for his car as it was a perfect C/D silver hood-still has no dents !---o6designs-katzup
