isn't that how rattles almost burned to death? what was the ghetto rigging solution? haven't had a chance to get to a junkyard for the proper vw harness.

that was his ghetto rigging on rattles to get rid of the hyperblinker

on my beater I am running euro tail with the stock larger size bulb holders top and bottom with the tabs trimmed off. this way you get the same exact filament as the regular lights and you dont have hyperblinker. then you just seal it with some kind of rtv or similar and call it a day

Yeah, the burning incident in Rattles was my dumbass...

I have teh wagon just like how Nick explained, and yet to have a fire...LOL No extra bulbs=No Fire.

Also, if you do need extra bulbs, put them in something that does'nt catch on fire.

yeah, I use the RTV (I think it might not say rtv, but its the black stuff in the same shaped tube) so that it can easily be pulled apart again and then the sealant stripped and a new coat applied

are you back up in this area? need any help?

it doesnt take long for it to be good eneough to put them on the car, I'd do that first, then the wiring, and then put them in, should be dry eneough by then.
