New Kona Budget Racer

Hey, picked up a CD Kona today. Got it home around noon, and by 3-4pm I already had it modded...LOL
Heres stock pics shortly after getting home...
First thing was the roof rack leaving....and the mods began......
The FIRST "mod" of the vehicle....
And many more to follow...
After alittle bit, I got it debadged, new rims, shortend antenna, brakes cleaned and sprayed, and interior cleaned. I also threw on my old headlights from 'Chromie', since they aren't faded yet, but they do have a twilight blue eyebrow still. The heads are just untill I can polish the old ones....
I picked the Kona up to replace the Contour, as my winter beater. I'm also gonna use the Kona for autoX next year. Some may know, I've been trying to get rid of the Contour for acouple weeks. So, the SVT is for sale if anyones interested...

I wanted another Focus. The Contour is nice and quick, but it does'nt handle as good as a Focus does on the track...I'm asking 4,100 for the SVTc.

its a special edition focus of the '00 year. It came with a roof rack, mountain bike, machined 16" wheels, cool side moulding, floor mats, seat covers, and gray guages with red needles. And the extra cool ones came in a 'dirt' brown color, like mine!!

lol, looks like a lot of that special shit made it onto regular production in later years, cept the side moldings and the bike and rack?
dirt brown would of been better, silver isnt too special (but it does look nice)

I was actually thinking about taking the side moldings off...LOL Or sanding off the tread, and leaving the Kona logo, and paint the rest silver....
H&R springs should be going on soon, along with KYB shocks and struts. SVT chin should be on by Weds as well. I really wish it was easier to put cruise on there tho...

how many miles are on the contor? what kind of shape is it in? i've seen pix and it looks hot.

should of kept the roof rack... ever heard of.... sleeper? no one would see the bike rack coming out of a racer...

The only way it would be sleeper, is if I put the roof rack on Chromie. And no, I won't do that... The Kona will never be as fast as her. I'm gonna put alittle money into the Kona, but Chromed is still my money pit...LOL
