RIP OPEN TAIL-LIGHTS

has anyone crack open any taillights before?? i wanna open up the tyc that i got off eleanor and paint the chrome insides nether orange or black.... what steps do i need to do and what tools if any!?! i got all winter for this so there's no real rush in finishing it....

A heat gun and a small straight screwdriver should do the trick. Don't burn yourself.

yea a heat gun, i'ma got look around for one....... do i need to pry it open or will it open up easily?

You might have to pry it a little bit. Don't chip the lense.. and don't put the heat gun too close or you'll melt the lense.

Well, you've prob got silicone shit all around the lense, securing it to the base. So you've got to seperate that crap.

how easy is it to get those silicone crap or glue thingies they put in there to come off??

My factories looked like they where melted together, I was going to dremel them apart.
