Plans for the car

Ok well i am on spring break and had nothing better to do so i feel like typing up a little thing about what I want to do with my car over the next few years. Basically I want to create a balanced car that has a little bit of everything. Exterior wise I am going to keep it stock besides maybe some little things like a FS front lip. anyways...
Coming soon mods.... (in order of acquisition...most likely)
Eibach springs (the ones that go 2 inches).
MBRP catback, or I was thinking getting a system from BF.
16'' Rota Slipstreams in gunmetal with polished lip (imo these rims look soo sexy on a liquid grey, and they fit my budget)
Color matched ST grill
Tokico shocks, i figured my stock 06's should last .. i don't mind taking the suspension apart twice, nothing better to do in the summer haha
FS front lip, assuming they still have them by this time
OEM styled carbon fiber hood
After this.. well i'm not exactly sure. I'll probably get an intake, spark plug wires and some other random stuff like that. Probably a shorty antenna. Might get some more random suspension stuff. Next summer I'll probably do a focussport turbo set up. In between there somewhere randomly i'll pick up some clear corners. I also think i might get some vinyl for the headlights to make those neat looking eyebrow deals haha. So tell me what you guys think. I'm open for suggestions or criticism.

I know you don't mind taking the car apart twice, but to save money, I'd do the whole suspension at the same time. Itll save an alignment. And you'll most likely need camber plates and bolts for the suspension drop you want...

hmm... okay. Do you guys know of anyone who has dropped an 06+ on eibachs? I have seen a few cars dropped on the FRPP kit...but it's just not low enough for me. Call me stubborn but I really just want to go lower, and I am willing to save up and wait a little longer to get it done right and how I want it to be.

Steve could correct me on this, but I believe you just have to change out the knuckle on teh 06+ cars to a SVt knuckle, and then you can use 00-05 shocks and springs. I can't remember what all has to be done. Actually , since your car isn't a ST, you could use a factory OEM knuckle, and not a SVT one.

Seeing as I really have no idea what a knuckle is, could you enlighten me a little? I'm guessing it's just something having to do with how the shocks bolt into the chassis or something along those lines. Are knuckles an expensive component?
Edit: Wow if I could do the knuckle transplant (haha transplant) I could really open up the opportunities for dropping this thing. I was thinking tein s techs matched with tokico's or eibachs...ooo this is interesting hahah

You can do a shorty antenna for almost next to nothing in 5 mins.
Screw it off
Put the top in hot water (with the rubber cap)
carefully pull the cap off
measure how short you want it and saw it off
boil cap to make it soft
slip cap over your new shorty
screw it back on
I didn't notice a change in reception when I did this to my focus and it'll save you 20 bucks.

Cheap and easy, sounds like a good idea.

IMO cut down stock antennas look better, than the aftermarket aluminum shorty antennas.
The aftermarket antennas: paint chip, have bad reception, and if you brush up against them they snap your antenna base.
Stock cut down: Looks nice (less 'bulky'), almost stock quality reception, and they are bendable so your base wont snap off.

The anadized alum. ones fade too and turn pink or purple. Depending on color.
My cut down antenna does'nt get very good reception, but I knew that when I cut it.

You have to do the strut, knuckle and lower control arm. The ball joints are different.

Instead of changing to the older style suspension I think I would rather just go with the new tokico blues matched with eibach sportlines..Idk. See what happens I guess.

Thanks Steve. I researched all the info awhile ago when my dad got his ST, but could'nt remember what it all took.

Do any of you guys know if you can get vinyl sheets at craft stores? I really wanna make my own eyelids..I doubt they would have it in a CF pattern though haha!
