what brand has the best exhaust system when counting in performance, look and sound. for any model both zetec and duratec? i know there are alot out htere but the big ones that i know of are saleen, roush, magnaflow, borla, the svt system, and (i think it sounds good for stock, the ST system)

Depends on your goals, on its own exhaust does not add noticeable power, if you are going forced induction that's another story and you have to prep your car for it. If you are looking for sound thats something else all together, a 2.25 exhaust is a 2.25 exhaust, they may sound different but there just is not that much differnece in performance.

If your looking for just looks and alittle bit of sound, you can cut off your lunchbox. That helped alot on mine.

eventually i am looking for forced induction, but as of right now i am just going for looks and sound, and i know sound changes alot depending on the system. and cut off my lunch box? im thinking your talking about the huge muffler on almost all foci that is seen right in front of the exhaust tip? because mine doesnt have that, i have an ST and the only thing i could really cut off would be the little muffler that is in about the middle of my car.

exactly, and i already get asked if it is an aftermarket system, how much more will i get out of a cat back system? is it worth the cost?

You'll notice alittle bit. But won't really feel it until you get boosted.

I believe zetec exhaust fit duratecs as well, don't they? I have a Magnaflow I'll be taking off down the road if interested.

i coulnt tell you for sure but im almost positive that zetec exhaust will not fit the duratec, they have different systems when you go to order them online. thanks though, im not looking for major difference when it comes to HP, i know that my exhaust system right now is pretty good (much better then that on other focus models) so i know i wont see much difference at all, i like the tone of my system now, but im just looking for it to be a bit louder, is it worth it to buy a new system/ will i hear that much of a difference?

Yes, don't buy a 2.25" then have to turn around and have to buy a 3", just get it done and over with. Exhasut alone adds no noticeable WHP, if you can tell 3 whp in your car you need to have your head checked.
