I need a guinea pig with a 2.0 Duratec

I need a volunteer with a 2.0 Duratec to do a little testing with a Stage2 ported throttle body.

These work perfectly on the 2.3 but there may be an issue with the 2.0 not coming down to an idle with the modified TB.

It doesn't make much sense to me so I want to try it first hand, It takes me about 10 minutes to change out the throttle body in my driveway and the same to change it back.

If there is an issue it should show up right away.

Any volunteers?

Squeal, squeal, squeal.....

You'll need to take it off though no matter how much money I try to throw in your face or cry.
Running autox the following weekend and a modded TB is a no no in the class my car is best suited for at the moment.

I'm free Sunday, have the Rochester T4T show Saturday. Yeah it does'nt make much sense unless there is air getting by do to a bad install or??? Is someone having trouble with one on a D20? Wonder if the throttle plate is not being allowed to close fully thus being off idle.

don't they have those out on the lot? maybe even a loaner car at tousley (or are they all Tauruses?) for a long term abuse test

I want to do this when the TB in question gets back to me, It should be within a week or so.

I'll post up again or send PM's to Miles and Brian and we'll figure something out.

Just let me know Steve, unless Miles wants to purchase one now anyway then he would be the better candidate and get a free install to boot!

O.K. so I go the TB back here and I'm ready to try it out.

Who wants to volunteer and when should we do it?

I'm available Saturday, is it going to be an on and off ordeal with a little bit of driving in between? I have the Autox race on Sunday so I can't have it installed at that time, otherwise next week or weekend we could set something up if you want it run for a couple of day's or a week....

Maybe he'll do a layaway plan for you, $50 a month for 4 months and the remainder when you pick it up :D

I'll have all my kids during the day, Are you gong to be in the cities at all?

It'll be a bolt on, run it and maybe drive it thing and then back to stock. It'll either work or it won't.

I need an oil change so I will schedule one at the Quick Lane at my dealership on Saturday. Have you heard of or know were Tousley Ford is? I can swing by afterward and we can try it out. So if you can give me directions from Tousley to casa Fordsvtparts or ... and a time we can get the deed done. I have a preference for the early a.m. at QL,TF to "beat the rush" so I would suspect I would be available after 8 or 9 in the a.m.
What are you thinking for time, having the kids means doing the morning ritual so let me know whats good for you.
