don't bother building the tranny. A LSD would be cool, and maybe a stage 1 or 2 clutch

let me know how fun that svt is to drive with a light fly wheel. id go with a solid fly wheel before a light one . and act or center force have a good clutch. if you go turbo, youll want the heavy fly wheel for duribility and it makes the motor make more exhaust to spool the turbo better. 8)

^^^Isn't the light weight flywheel also a solid unit?
How would a heavier flywheel help spool the turbo? With a lighter one I could rev up quicker making more exaust flow.

the key to the svt is the heavy fly wheel, it takes a bit to spin ,but once its going , it takes less power to spin it faster. also inertia , a light fly wheel on the street is not as friendly, going up hills, passing, engine braking , are all effected by this.
the turbo, feeds off exhaust presure more than flow, if you have a 4inch pipe on yer motor a turbo will lag due to the large volume and low pressure, if you were to take that same set up and put a working load( like a tourqe converter, heavy fly wheel) it makes the engine build more presure in the exhaust, i hope this makes since. now since the the motor is pumping out more pressure, and the turbo is seeing more pressure, it will spool faster, and in turn make power to spin said load, then enertia starts to work and said mass in motion takes less power to increse motion, and big accel motion happen, witch makes a working load on ones face that end resualt is a grin. 8)

i would say stock trans, and do a diff and clutch, and if you still have some $ left over do the flywheel.
