Need new suspension, was thinking of coil overs that way I can raise it up in the winter. Want something that will give me plenty of G-forces also. What would be a good set up?
What about sway bars?
And I know they make a front stut bar, do they also make a rear stut bar, or do I have to make one?

Well, for starters, I would'nt recommend coilovers at all for winter. They would work great for spring, summer, fall, but for winter? No. The perches and rings can get corroded and you won't be able to adjust them, making them pretty much stuck in that spot all year long.

If your after "g-forces", coilovers don't help that much more then just regular springs, shocks, and dampers. If you went with h&R Cup susp, or Eibach Pro, its gonna give you pretty much the same G force as a good coilover setup. You'll never notice the difference on the street. If you were to actually autoX and track the car, maybe. But not worth the extra money. Also, if your after G's, then buying an actual decent tire will help alot as well. I don't know what tire your running, but upgrading to a set of Azeni's, Potenza, Goodyear F1, Kuhmo MX, Hankook RS2 are all good tires with alot of grip.

Also, sway bars. Of course they make sway bars. Just get on FocalJet, or FocusFanatic, click on some of the sponsor shops, and you'll find a whold listing of aftermarket sway bars. Eibach, H&R, Steeda, Progress, AutoXZTS makes an adjustable rear sway on FJ. If your just running your car on the street, I'd recommend front and rear sway bars to keep the car neatral for daily use. If you upgrade just the rear bar, it does make the car alittle loose in the ass, which could really not help you in the winter months.

FocusSport makes the front and rear strut bars. To be honest, the strut bars really won't help on the streets. Its another one of those, you'll never really be able to push the car hard enough on the street to really feel the difference. I've noticed the rear strut bar on Chromie does help with turn-in on corners tho. But the car always did handle very well, so I really can't be sure the bar helps that much. For the front, I've never ran a front bar, since it won't fit my car, so I have no opinion on those. I've alot about them not really helping, but some have said they do help. So who can really tell...I think alot of people just the bars, because they are cheap, and for the bling factor under the hood.

trybatinc.net. i agree the coil overs are waste. a good set of matched springs and struts are your best bet. also look at kyb, and tokico , there illuminati line is good. i have noticed that my strut bars do make a diff( specially on steep drive ways)
