with canuck plates! see they get them in canada and mexico also. they also get the new c30 platform focus!!!! they also get the new awd rs, you know the 300 horse turbo 5cyl. so it was only a matter of time before they start to trickle down and up. :(

Incorrect, mexico and canada foci are NO different then the models we get here in the states. Infact most of the foci that we drive are either made in canada or mexico.

My guess is was just a modded car with RS parts.

I dont think a older (40) guy would do a kit on his Foci.
It was an RS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I did have my cammera with to show everyone.

Then you haven't been on Focal Jet or Focus Fanatic's much have you? For example there's a 45 year old guy that drives an SPI sedan focus, full body kit, suspension, fully built SPI motor and turbo'd.

I still call BS on a real RS, no 40YO guy would import crappy Focus ;)

Actually I think Mexico has the European Focus down there (they also get Fiestas and shit). They actually have a freaking weird lineup in reality, being half European and half North American. Canada seems to have a similar lineup though.

And as far as manufacturing goes, I think all North American Foci have been built in Wayne, Michigan for awhile now.

Ughhh, where do you people get this info? Where have you seen an AWD Focus for sale, ever? And it would be the C1 Focus, as the platform has been around much longer than the Volvo C30.

Mexico does get the 2nd gen Focus, You can buy a 5 cyl turbo ST220 in Mexico.

Apparently it's a much better market than the U.S. :?

Oh the joys of the wiki, 2006 just doesn't sound right to me. This is all I could find quickly:

Ford builds last Focus in Mexico.
By: Domby, Debi. Automotive News, 6/20/2005, Vol. 79 Issue 6153, p41-41
This article focuses on Ford Motor Co.'s Hermosillo, Mexico, plant which built its last Ford Focus on Friday, June 17, 2005. The plant will be down until early August 2005, when production of the Ford Fusion, Lincoln Zephyr and Mercury Milan begin. Focus production at the plant began in September 1999. A total of 345,000 Focus units have been built at Hermosillo. General Motors began production of salable units of the Chevrolet HHR last week. The cars are produced in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Ford still produces the Focus at its Wayne, Michigan, assembly plant. Reading Level (Lexile): 930;
