Some of you know that I had boughten Ted's SVT "The $3300 SVT" Also used to be HilloNative's sister's car. But I have some mind picking questions.

1st-It shifts hard going from gear to to sometimes doesn't want to come out of gear.

2nd-When parked in gear with the Clutch pushed in all the way I would run the RPM's up the and car will creep forward followed by the nasty smell of burnt clutch.

Would this mean that the Hydraulic line might have air in them or need to be adjusted if so how would I go about doing this and is there a fill for the Hydraulis line?

I will be replaceing the tranny very soon but I wanted to try to fix this before I did that.

With that being said what sugestion for a clutch? I am looking at the Stage 1 Clutchmaster.

Not a bad time to replace it when the trans is out.

It does sound like you have air in the lines or a leaking clutch master cylinder, is the clutch pedal wet?

The clutch pedal is not wet but where the line goes into the trans is wet around there. I just cleaned that area up with brake cleaner so it is clean and dry so I should be able to get a better idea where that leak could be coming from. Where about is the Clutch Master? I need to pick up a servise manual for it also does Ford supply one for it?

I might do a SC this winter when the car is parked would the Stage 1 be enough? Hp goal is 250-275.

If it were my car, and I was planning to do FI, I'd put a stage 3 in...Thought about a torsen/quaife? Not a bad thing to do if you're planning on a supercharger, and it's easier and cheaper to do when you already have the tranny out.

all of the things you just described are what happens when the hydraulic clutch cylinders/line have air in them or leak. If you fix that, it should fix all your tranny problems, and if you replaced the tranny, you'd still have those problems

How would I bleed the system? I did notice a bleeder nipple on the trans would that be the line the top front part?

I had thought about the torsen/quaife but didn't look to much further into it.

same way you'd bleed the brakes. have someone push the pedal down, crack the bleeder, close it up, release pedal

K thats way to simple I feel like a moron

sounds like the slave is leaking. your master is under the dash connected to the clutch pedal. its also possible that the slave fork is bent and under or over engaging the pressure plate as there was a TSB about fork and enirtia over engaging the clutch. mine will every once and a while feel like it wont shift to second but thats when i hit about 7300 rpm and shift so i have eneritia issues.

I wish the car was right here now it is currently at my parents 120 miles away. I live at a apartment so it not so much fun working on it in the parking lot..... But when I'm back at my parents I will take a look under there to investigate more.

Also someone on FF said to drive the car around for a bit then park it while it running and pumping the clutch it then drive it again it should shift better but not for long. That would be the master and the slave. Would they be right?

oh yeah, I didn't read the rest of the thread thoroughly, it does sound like your slave is leaking, which would be the reason that there's air in the system. Replace that, and you should be gold.
