A.V.F. Car show. I sat around your car for probably a total of an hour throughout the whole day trying to find you, but you never came to your own car. That guy in the SVTF next to you was a really cool guy.

Nils and I showed up after 4pm in my wagon, with autoX numbers still on, the Mustang boys did'nt seem to like the wagon much....

My dad and I both brought our cars to the show so I was over by his car pretty much the entire day. I did chat with the Focus owner for a few minutes. He ended up taking third in the category of "modified non mustang/cougar 1960-2007" I told him to check out the forum and he told me that someone (that works at AVF) had already suggested that. Must've been you

I'll post up some of my pictures of the show later this evening maybe.

"Modified non mustang/cougar 1960-2007" ? WTF is that?? Do they really have to get so technical and model specific with their classes?

Maybe they could share the love a little bit and actually have a Contour, Cougar, Focus class, I guess that would be too much effort though.

Oohhh, Maybe they could just call it the "cars we really don't care about or want around but we let them in cuz they pay" class.

Good point Steve. Thats how most Mustang drivers are. Any other Ford is not good enough. I've realized thats the same thing with the Chevy boys too. If you have a Camaro...the Cavalier/Cobalt is no good, but if you have a Vette, hot shit, all other cars can wipe my ass attitude.

The Wierd thing is if you roll a mint 60-63 Falcon by the same guys "Before the mustang/falcon" They would prolly drop jaws.... Falcon then = Focus now....

But then again you still have the one guy that says Its just a Falcon....

You know whats really kind of funny though?

It's more the Mustang GT guys then it is Cobra guys, I'm not sure why, Maybe the Cobra guys have more money and have better daily drivers because a lot of Terminator guys have SVTF's as daily drivers and winter cars.

I've really had a dislike for Chevys ever since the days of my big block Buicks, The Chevy guys all thought they were king of the world but cried like little girls when they got their ass kicked by a Buick.

The good news is there is supposed to be a specific category for SVT compacts at the fall show. Which means Foci and Contours, basically if none of you guys come I have it in the bag (kidding)

These are the classes they had: (For being an all ford show it is pretty weighted toward Mustangs, but still fun)


Anywho here are my pics!

It was a good show, however I didn't get the guy that had the 2005 Ford Taurus SES, it was BONE stock. oh except for the window tint. lol I know he entered it in the car show cause it had a sheet under the wiper. I was considering throwing my foci in there but it was kinda dirty.

Maybe he wanted a place to sit in the A/C because it was so hot outside Or if he just wanted to get a vote ballot and raffle bag?

possibly just wanted a good parking spot.

lol no the shelby will be getting a paxton that says shelby on it so it will be an original peice it will still make 500 at the wheels lol

^^^Now that I look alittle closer to it that looks like the Aluminator... My guess the way that it is set up that it might be pushing close to 1000 ponys I'm not positive on that though.... Can somebody help me with that?

I'd bet its up there, thing sounded pretty crazy.
