So when I bought my 17" Enkei RSV's from a friend of mine in St. Cloud, they all had some corosion on them, and some other things wrong, so today I thought i'd see how they would clean up. I took off one wheel and started my work. Took me 3 hours to do the one wheel, but I figure the others won't take so long because now I half way know what i'm doing.

1. Started off by sanding my way through the clearcoat with 120 grit. This is what took me so long the corosion isn't that bad, but annoying non the less.
2. After that, I bumped up to 140, just to help to clean up anything I may have missed. Not a big step, but good enough.
3. Then I jumped to 250, to start getting all the scratches out.
4. Finally (for now, at least) I wet-sanded with 400. I plan on going over it again with 6 and 800, but I didn't have any here, none at the local hardware store, and Wal*Mart is to far away.
5. I washed the wheels good to get all the sanded down gunk off, and get them ready for polishing.

6. I applied Mother's Mag and Alum. Polish to protect the metal from future corosion. It probably will come back, but for now, this will do.

7. I had to rotate the tires. Done. After that I gave the car a bath and snapped a few pics. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I was going to do the rest today, but had to work. I was also going to do them tomo, but I have a job detailing a guys truck, so now i can't.

btw, new headlights came today...
