well if my day couldnt get any better.... I got into a car accident today..

..guy pulled out and I hit him even though I had the right of way... And its turning into more than car accident....its fraud case.ugh. Anywaz, my car luckily has very very minor damage. I got a good few scraps and scratches on my front bumper on the passenger side. It looks like crap though.... does anyone know of any cheap paint shops? Or is anyone capable of buffing, repainting and putting the clear coat on for me? also, my bumper is coming off slightly on the passenger side from the accident. If anyone can help me let me know. And yes, I will pay you ifyou can fix it for me!

I could get you a rental... it would be on your insurance... unless you take the coverage?

I got into a minor fender bender. Myself and the other vehicle ( a 2000 chevy Malibu Tan) Stopped at the same time at a four way stop.I had the right of way becasue I was to the right of him and was making a left hand turn. I pulled out and the malibu also pulled out at the same time. I hit him. My car has very minor scratches to the front passenger side bumper. The Malibu claims I hit the front passenger side bumper/fender which was smashed it. Now in order for me to have hit him where he says I did I would have had to turned into his lane and into someone's house. The damage on his car also is all white paint. My car is blue. On the back end of his vehicle were scratches of blue paint that would have matched up to my bumper. I honestly am not sure where I actually made contact with his vehicle because it all happened so fast. All I know for sure is that I hit him. The Malibu driver told my mom I pulled out in front of him. But if that was the case he would have hit me. Later he made a comment " another foot and she would have missed me." He told the police officer that I ran the stop sign completely and hit him on the front bumper/fender. His story kept changing. THe other thing that doesnt make sense is if I hit his fender/bumper how was there so much damage to his car but almost nothing to mine? The police officer even said I had to have stoped at the stop sign because of how little damage there was to my car. The police officer even explained that I had the right of way at the stop sign but Minnesota is a no fault state. Later on I learned his wife is his insurance adjuster. I think that theguy is trying topull a fast one on me. I am prettysure i hit theback end of hiscar...but its just he said she said now... so yea.....

It is a no fault state, we just write that accident from how we see it went down. I'm sure you'll be fine.
$5 says they gave the other person a 'innatentive driving' ticket, or something close to that. That's the most we can do to 'show fault' per say.

Year ago I got into a fender bender and the other person tried to claim previous damage, when MY adjuster looked at it (at my request) they threm her whole claim out the window for falsifying a claim.
My company paid her NOTHING and I was not charged any points for the accident, pursue this through your own insurance!!

It will be about 250 bucks to re-paint that bumper. Go to a shop and get a quote. Tell them you will take the bumper off, and give it to them.... That way you wont get charged the labor for that.

Thats not so bad...
I'd almost say wait to spring to have it done, that way if any damage is done thru the winter, it will be fixed in spring. I say this because fresh paint is a magnet for bad shit to happen. Esp with the cold months coming.
