WTB: ZX5 or sedan $5000 or less

I've got a friend who's looking for a Focus as her new daily. I asked her what she was looking for specifically and she said she wanted 4 doors, an automatic and a hatchback and was looking to spend around $5000 or less. She may be willing to take a sedan or wagon, but she'd have to check it out. Anybody here got something that'll fit the bill? Last time I talked to Al he didn't have anything for under $9000, but I'd like to steer her towards somebody in the community.

Where were you for the past 6 weeks or so? I would have sold her mine for 5,800 - 6,000. :(

Oh well. Good luck in your search!

Well, that's still $800 more than she's looking to spend, so it probably wouldn't have worked out. I believe she's just taking the money out of her savings, so it's not like she can just get a loan for a bit more money.

At least she's not like me and wanting a 5sp. When my wife and I were looking for our cars it took forever.

I ended up getting about that, but I would have rather sold it outright then traded at a dealership. Trading a car like the ST at a dealership most likely means it will be sent to auction and never seen again. :( But, I really like the impala so far.

Dude, my roommate just bought a 2003 Protege 5, got the loan this morning, and by 4 in the afternoon we were driving back with the car.

I'm not saying it's hard to get a loan, I'm saying she's not getting one.

I'll take that as a no, then. I wanted to steer her towards somebody in the community, but if there isn't anything available I'll start hitting the lots with her.

we're considering selling ours due to income loss. dunno yet though. i'd say the condition of it is "weren't ever planning on selling" but it runs great but needs a few things when it gets warmer and has a prior salvage on it
