I am looking for a small sub and box to hook up to the amp in my impala. I don't want to spend much. I'm just looking for better lows inside the cabin of the car. Let me know what you have.
Thanks.

Best buy usally has good deals for small sub/s with a box. Haven't boughten one for at least 10 years though. Had a Bose stereo in my last truck and my car has the Audiophile in it with the sub from the factory. The Bose was a better "system" though.

What kind of amp do you have?
I have 2 12" rockford p1's in a sealed carpeted box i was going to sell. They are almost new, and come with extended warranty's. The box isn't that big.
$100

I've got a cute little 10" sony in a truck box I want to be rid of, along with an amp if you need it. $75 and it's yours.

That's what replaced the sony.
*This* is the sony:

Good little sub, not horrendously loud, but it does add nice lows.

That one looks like it would do the trick. Would you go $50 on it?

You need the amp or no?

I hate to answer you this way...but maybe, and maybe not. I really don't know. The car has a "premium" factory amp mounted in the back already. I'll definately need some wires to hook it up with though. Will it be as easy as just connecting the two with a wire and turning it on? I'm an idiot. I know. I ask dumb questions. LMK.

You need the amp. The factory unit is gonna be designed to power the door speakers, not an add-on sub. You should need this, and a 8AWG wiring kit and a set of RCAs. I presume you have an aftermarket headunit installed?

No, I don't have an aftermarket headunit. Do i need one? Sorry for the delayed response. I just bought a new sled. A Skidoo mxz 583. It's been a pretty good time. Went about 120 miles this weekend. I'll try to keep in touch though.

some stock head units come with pre-amp outputs. I'd check the owners manual first, see if it says anything. If it doesn't have pre-amp outputs (RCA outputs for signal to the amp) then you'll probably need aftermarket.
