Stock focus and nitrous

Last night i ran a dry nitrous kit on my 100% STOCK focus zetec, i didnt have any problems, i know its got to be running lean, and it wouldnt last forever, but it did hold up to a LOT of nitrous and abuse.

The "nos" kit i got used came with a .032 jet, and i hooked it up to a push button on my shifter, I tested it at home atleast 10 times for 3-5 seconds under wide open throttle, and anouther 10+ times on the track, for most of the strait aways.

YES I DID USE IT ON THE TRACK!

I was trying to prove a point to the tech officals that cheating is getting out of hand, i didnt even get disqualified, but i will probably be taking it out because they might start enforcing the rules because of me.

I will get pictures up for those who dont believe me.

Bad idea, I couldn't care less about the cheating aspect but just because it didn't blow up last night doesn't mean the damage wasn't done.

Pappys motor popped just driving down a sidestreet under normal driving conditions and I think his was even a wet shot but untuned.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't last long.

I pulled the spark plugs out and they looked fine, I know that doesnt mean alot, but i have plenty of more motors anyways.

It's damage to the pistons and ring lands you have to worry about, you're probably fine but it's extremely risky running an untuned dry kit.

It did make a HUGE difference, the problem was i went of the track 3 or 4 times, the last time i "jumped" off the berm and entered the track in a spot where i guesss i wasnt supost to, so i got black flaged. But i think i had a good chance, because i could catch right back up to the front after every time i slid off the turns.

Sounds like you really need to work on turning and proper braking.

Sad story. Gotta watch out for those odd peices of exhaust.
