whats up all. well im off. its 4:10 and i have a 5:30 dyno time. to update you all on my car i hit 140 with lots of probs. last time at the dyno. now that im running 24lbs injectors and a new pro-m maf those should be all better. and on wed the ups dude dropped off the 01 ported intake mani. that went on well and i think i can feel the power but with the snow and all that shit its hard to get power to stick. i will be back later tonight to update you all on the new #. wish me luck.

ok. i just got back and i did like 5 runs and hit 145.9 hp :( . for a focus that’s not to bad but i was looking to be in the 150s. but what can you do. the good news/bad news about that is i was having fuel probs. they said my air to fuel ratio should be around 12-12.7. if that is correct, i am getting way to much fuel. i was running in the low 11 then dropping off the chart to below 10. so i should get that worked out.

Mods:
Steeda CAI,
Pro-M 70mm maf - 24lbs injectors
FC 65mm Throttle Body,
01 ported intake manifold
FC Stage 2 head
Crower Stage 2 Cams
FC Cam Sprockets,
FC race headers w/o egr,
FC flexpipe,
Borla Cat Back,
FC Underdrive pulleys,
Diablo chip,
FS spark plug wires

H&R coilovers,
Eibach anit-sway bars
FS front stress bar.
FS rear stress bar
18in OZ Superleggeras w/ Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Positions, Z-Engineering engine mount,
Wings West Avenger front end

WOW. i think that’s it. doing that makes me mad that i only got 145. but whatever

I would have expected over 150 with those mods. I am sure the rich condition is your biggest problem. Maybe your maf, chip and injectors aren't playing nice. I would be curious to see what would happen to your a/f ratio with the stock maf and injectors. You shouldn't need the bigger injectors until your over 160hp. What rpm was your max hp and torque at?

i talked to tom (turbo tom) and he said that my A/F R sux because i got the pro-m at steeda and they arnt very good at the maf stuff and they shouldnt even sell those. he said that there is like a 5-10 hp drop in hp because of my A/F ratio. so i think im going to sell my chip, maf and injectors on ebay or on focaljet and buy toms stuff. get his 4 programmed chip thing and maf and some bigger injectors so if i go FI i dont need to swap them out again. but i would love to be looking at high 155s for hp.
o yeah. i got the pro m and the 24lbs because i was running my stock injectors to the max and was running in the i think 15 to 1s.

Just a bit of info for those interested in Tom's stuff when He says the MAFS are the problem. I have recently been going through some problems with one of his kits with an engine of his We installed. After about 6 months of screwing around with the kit, the customer went to Lidio in Michigan, physically drove to him, there He got a stock MAFS and 42lbs injectors to put down 180HP and 200 or so ft/lbs torque with only 8lbs of boost.

To anyone considering a setup for FI, I would seriously consider Lidio over Tom any day! ANY DAY!!!

I've actually very rarely heard of Lidio.. does he post around on the forums? Also does he have a website or his own turbo kit? I know when I was talking to Schroed before about his turbo kit, he said I should have Lidio tune it. That's the only reference other than this post I've ever heard of Lidio.

McNews is running 159whp and 154wtq with similar mods as yours. I would suggest giving Ray McNew a call and discuss your fuel problems with him. He may be able to help you solve this without having to part out your current set up. Ray is very good at replying to e-mails.

I think you should also give Focussport a call!
