Anyone have a good condition short ram intake they would trade for an AEM cold Air? I'm gettin a carbon SS hood in June and would like to utilize that hood scoop. Thanks

I have the Focus Central short ram... its very similar to volant... it also has an SVT snorkel so you could use it with a scoopless hood still... I'm not going to be needing it with turbo, and I won't need the AEM, maybe we can make a deal still

are you going to be at the meet. If you are, you could check out my short ram intake and we could switch them out in the lot. Also what type of filter do you have, and would you switch it out with you're intake?

yeah, that would be cool if you could bring some tools to put youres onto my car. to install mine only takes a flat screw driver and an allen wrench. My filter is k and n and i have the recharger kit that I can give you also (if I can find it). The only bad thing about the filter is that I left a bag over it after I washed the engine and then started the engine  so it's crumpled alittle bit. I've had it on ever sence and it's still working perfectly.( the filter has so much surface area that it would take a lot to harm it's performance.) just thought you should know about the filter. uh yeah... also it's going to be f*ckin' freezing at the meet, so maybe we should take that into consideration also. It's no probley to me, but i'm just saying.

How'd it work out for you? I can feel a little hesitation in lower rpm but it kicks ass in high. I capped off the breather too so that might have something to do with it but when I did, it really has a nice kick during thee shift.

i like the cold air, I know what you're saying about the pull at Higher RPMs, I can really feal the cold air working at lower RPMs. How do you like the sound on the ram air? I'm trying to get used to the sound the CAI make at about 6 1/2RPMs. I'm still trying to find a bushing for the braket on the upper half of the intake. This will do nicely untill I can buy my super charger  . Let my know how that turns out with you're new hood when you get it installed.

yea its a lot louder than the cold air which surprised me. Also I get a nice little suction of air at shift. I can almost squack my tires into 2nd with an auto!
