That's the part that upsets me. The goal of the car, and why it was posted was so we could get a car and save EVERYONE money, not get anyone parts for free. Had that been the case, Zurno and I could have worked the prices so neither of us had to pay a dime.

Yes what you're doing is fine, you paid for the majority of the car. In my opinion though, ethically you're screwing the club over to a degree. See it however you want, Zurno and I had plenty of conversations about the car before hand and how we were going to try to reduce the cost for everyone without the intent of making profit. By selling more, we'd reduce what everyone is paying, not just for specific people. That was the reason we were waiting to have money from everyone and not just buy it outright. We didn't know what people would be paying.
i feel ya sir, i went and looked up prices on new parts that i could find and tried to take a couple hundo off the real spendy parts and the not soo good parts. some i couldnt find prices so i looked at them and made a guess at what i would find a good price, but im always open for a little low ballin. but i figuer( yes i know what kinda deal igot on the drive train) i spent about the full price of the whole car in fixing the trailer filling my tank on the truck( 20 gallon) smokes and soda for me and my copilot , the 50 i slid the owner of the trailer and the 800 i spent on the car... now zurno got the cruise and a but load of trinkity nick-nac crap witch his 200 covers completely cus i think the wheel , buttons, cruise mod would come to well over 200, the brakes band new minus the rotors ( wich are like 110 or more apeice ) are like 600 700 bucks soo your 200 covers that. my motor and trans alone are like around 5,6 grand so my 800 covers that....... now im not trying to do the swap for free, i had to barrow 400 dollars and i need to make at least that back, i made a deal with my self that i cant buy any thing till that 400 dollars is paid, i need to get a maf, and a axle. so please understand that im not trying to make my full 800 , just some part of the whole expense...im not trying railroad the club, like i said before i love my car club peeps  but im not gonna let a perfectly good part(exmpl, the rear bumper) go for 10 bucks, or a sun roof thats un tuched fo 50 smackers, if its junk and not worth any thing like a door handle or a coolant cover it would most likely if the person made the effert to come get the stuff( im a softy) get handed to them and i tell them keep there money, but i have only recived a few pms for parts . i guess there is only one way to fully know what the price is and that is meet up wit me , have a few jack teas wit me and chew the shit, cus if i like ya its hard for me to cheat ya........thats a joke

This whole thing has overall turned into a fucking joke. I'm with Justin on this one. Who gives a shit what true retail prices are? Do you understand that nothing on this car is in perfect condition minus the engine and drivetrain? Everything else has some damage from being in a god damn rollover.

The club shouldn't suffer, on what was supposed to be a club effort buy, because you had to borrow $400. You shouldn't try to sell a pretty damaged rear bumper for $200, because they retail for $300. That's bullshit and you know it. The way everyone get into this, was thinking of getting some cool parts for some reasonable prices. In my opinion, you got the best part (and BY FAR the most expensive), if anyone should pay more for anything it should be you. If you want retail prices you should have paid 2k for the engine and drivetrain, plus your own gas and trailer to pick it up.

Quite being a dick and trying to make money on this. It's obvious to everyone in the club that you are in this for youself and only yourself.

But again besides Zurno and him who else put forth the money and time and effort to get the car? I dont buy this "he moved too soon on it" if he didn't put forth the effort, I bet the guy who had the car would have stripped it even more and sold off everything else on the car.

If you guys wanted parts on the car you should have put forth the money RIGHT away and not sat on it.

Either way, the way I see it, if you wanted a part, you should have aranged to go pull it, right when he got the car.

I am neutral here as I dont have any interest in teh car or any parts, it just seems too many ppl are being bitchy about something so trivial.

Also if you look at a junk yard they charge you if they have to pull a part off the car, and he already did all that, so why not get some sort of compensation for his time and efforts.

Agreed. I did buy some parts off it and had the money for it when I was asked. The problem everyone is having is, prior to the car being picked up we had a general idea of prices for things. But, as soon as he had gone and pulled them off (which I can't blame him for) they quaddrupled in price. I think that is what everyone is having an issue with.

yea that I would have an issue with too, again I am neutral here as I dont want anything off the car.

he had the car sitting there for 2 years, it wasn't going anywhere. that's part of the reason we weren't in a rush to get everything.

trying to somewhat stay out of this (not really possible)

but I still feel that if rob didn't have all of the money ready he should of waited until he did, I would of gave Al some money for a deposit if need be to hold the car longer, but we should of waited until you were to a point where you could

obviously Justing wasn't quite ready, and I had to stretch my budget quite far to cover that for now. I am hoping that Justin will have a bit of money for the brakes soon, or ele someone else tha wanted them will.

and if some of you havent noticed, Nils has actually been taking a few spots on the list since some people haven't been coming through, its just a shame that the sideskirts are too damaged for his wants (I wouldnt want to put that much work into it either)

I am sure rob will be more than willing to negotiate on pricing if you really want something, and he would probably also enjoy a helping hand with his car, which might be able to help out your cost, and I know if I have some spare time when I am up in that area, I would help him a bit

I hope Rob can get some buyers atleast for a few things, so he has some cash to buy the rest of the parts for that swap

hopefully I havent pissed anyone off over this, and I hope people get whatever they need for a good price, I have mostly everything I wanted off the car (and Rob knows what else I was thinking of and debating on, and I am waiting for his Cruise Control module since it has a different cable supposedly than the svt's module)

I still want the motor.

So people that want parts, why don't you all get together and go to the car and buy up the parts? Go there and wave cash, as long as he gets his 400$ back he borrowed I don't think he(Rob) much cares....
