Just wondering where the best place to get some winter tires would be?
tirerack.com looks decent, but I hate shipping costs.
Anyone have any suggestions on where a good place for my honey(95' Civic) and my Focus can get some decent winter tires and steel rims?
Just trying to figure out costs.
Thanks!

All I have to say is I didn't really care for my blizzaks last winter, I kind of liked the ones that came on my focus better. They might of been Yokahama's, but I am not sure
the blizzaks sucked on any kind of wet pavement (melted snow), although they were probably better in deep snow, which is actually very rare it seems

I had Dunlop Graspics the first winter with my SVT and they were fantastic on ice an snow and not bad at all in the wet.
They wear VERY quickly in dry conditions especially if it gets warm, I ran my P-zero's last year and they are staying on this year.
If you find a tire you like get the brand and size and check with me, I can usually be pretty competitive on tires and you don't pay shipping here.

I got a set of Yokohama Ice Guards last fall. I ran them all winter and they were awsome. Granted they weren't speed rated to the side walls were a little soft, it took some time to get used to not having the handeling like I had with the summer wheels but they worked.

I've run Blizzaks for 2 winters now (same set). The first winter they where amazing, second winter not so good. I think the set from tire rack was $365 shipped or so. I've run them through a summer now and need new ones.
Steve - they do quite well in deeper snow
