As you all know, the Foci in it's stock form can be quite.. well... normal. I intend to change that... just a bit.

I've been going through forums and foci stores and I just can't make up my mind on anything.

I'm looking for the basics; Intake and Exhaust

for and intake, I guess I am looking for the safest and most practical without spending an insane amount of money. I like the cosworth setup... but seriously, $300+ for a couple pipes and some silicone is too much... doesnt even have t-clamps.

for an exhaust, i dont want it super loud as I will be running an SQ system in my car, but I definitely need some low growlies when I want them. I just can't drive right if I can't hear the car. I also am not sure who sells what. I've seen a mix of flex-back and cat-back systems. Flexback systems seem as though they'd offer more performance out of the box, but is there a huge diference in pricing for that extra 20" of pipe and a flange? price is also a factor here. From what I've heard and seen, I'm thinking of going Borla catback or MBRS (or something like that)

I'm also looking for a suspension setup. This thing needs to be dropped like a red-headed step-child. I dont even know where to begin... my face goes blank when it comes to suspension stuff. basically, I dont want to spend over $400-$500 and I need a tolerable ride (I'm used to a stiffer suspension, I used to cruise a VR4 stuck in sport mode, and an RX7) I'd like 2" but I dont know how well this car will ride that low. I also dont know how compatible stuff is with the '07s as many sites dont even have '07 stuff listed. up to now, I've been assuming that if it works in an '05, it'll work in an '07

Any input is greatly epreciated!

You have an 05+ right? Not sure on whats honestly offered for those. Your engine model would help, duratec 2.0 or 2.3?

For a drop like that, I would say get progress springs (I run them and so does zurno) or H&R Race springs, it will drop you right down to that zero wheel gap point. Then just mate them with a nice set of struts.

On 06' and newer you are very limited in suspensions. Because the changed the design. The only company that I now of is eibach that has kits for the newer models. So be careful when shoping that you don't buy something that doesn't fit. I have many suspesion pieces for sale in the for sale thread that may interest you.

The first thing to do with any duratec is a cold air intake which will add 10 hp, I have a Marcy Motors on mine. You don't need the cossie unless you like to spend the money. Then get a Borla cat back from Steve as they are a FRPP part. That adds only about 3 hp but the sound is nice. Focus Central makes a header too that will add almost 15 hp but it will be loud. There are some cams for the duratec, I have a set of stg 1 cranes that should arrive any day now. As others have sai I don't know what to tell you on suspension as you can't add the SVT stuff like I did.

cool. I was hoping Steve would be able to help out.

BTW, what does FRPP stand for? I've seen it all over the place and can't figure it out.

as for a CAI, I'll probably just make my own with some 3" mandrel bent exhaust tubing and polish it up nice.
