These are! After I get them wet sanded and buffed out that is. :D As you can see I got them back from the painter today. Zurno I have lots of red left! probably only used 3 oz or so out of a pint to paint these and Doug said he would do some painting, small stuff like the above, trim pcs etceteras if anyone is interested. FYI the pictures really suck they have a blue cast to them and the paint looks terrible, it's really not, don't know if it is the reflection of the sky and trees that make the parts look like a 3rd grader painted them. The car will be at the MNFOCUS show on the 7th so you can take a good look at the pieces.

And a few shots of the other junk I've been up to; painted knuckles, lower arms, and calipers.Thats Rustoleum's Hammered finish paint on the suspension parts I think it looks pretty good on the rough cast pieces. I'm going to do my rear drums with the same.

What a pretty red caliper, I looked all over and couldn't find the other two :? . Well maybe next year I'll find the rear two when my pockets get refilled.

would you have ene0ough to do a bumper or 2, or is that too much work for him?

Moldings and fuel door for sure, I'll ask about the bumper, I'm guessing that an occasional "big" piece wouldn't be out of the question when he is in the mood. He's painting an Explorer he bought and fixed that had been in a moderate accident right now so he'll probably want a break from anything "large" for a while.

Thanks Steve,

It's been a lot of fun so far, last time I did anything car related I was in my late teen's just before starting school at Dunwoody so many moon's ago. Ahh the day's of the big V8, heavy sheet metal, and chrome, lot's of chrome. And you still can't beat the smell of high octane and the sound of a cammed V8 loping at idle as it lets you know it's own way that its one big badass MF'r.

Road America the weekend of July 20th, It's the largest vintage racing event in the nation.

You want big lumpy V8's? Do you remember the original Can-Am series? Can you say 600 c.i. 900 HP all aluminum big blocks stuffed in tinfoil and fiberglass bodywork?

If you ever get the chance got to this event. http://www.roadamerica.com/races_bric.htm

I would like my headlights done up, what would it cost? I also order upgraded brakes, & was going to paint my Calipers but if that could be done to that would be kickin!

Krypto,

If your talking about the "headlight" mod paint I doubt you would want to pay for that unless you are going to take them apart yourself. There is someone on FJ that is doing it for $ I think its Bryst06??? If you want them taken apart and painted he would be way better and way cheaper (plus he's never done it and probably wouldn't take the chance of having to buy you a new set of headlights if he screwed up the housings trying to get them apart)if you don't want to do them yourself. When it comes to the calipers since you need to use a higher temp paint whoever paints them would end up just buying the Duplicolor or other brand caliper paint in either a spray or brush on kit so I would suggest you do them yourself as well. Anything normally considered body parts/panels would be what he would want to do.

:D FS front lip and SVT rear spoiler, and 00-04 Ford ye old SAP rear fascia are installed, also painted my rear drums with same hammered finish paint as front suspension. Will post pics when I get a chance. Still have the skirts and fuel door to install.

Has anyone installed skirts on a car that did not have the rocker panels pre-drilled? I am wondering if I would need to make swiss cheese out of my rockers when installing the skirts or if I could cut down or eliminate most of the intermediate fasteners and just use tape. I would still keep the end and any underneath fasteners in place. Safest would be to drill all the holes but want to know if anyone has any experience with this.

Thanks Brian

A pleated green and blue plaid number that ends just above my knees!

Seriously though, I bought the 00-04 SAP or GFX or whatever they called it back in the day, non-SVT package off of Ebay, real Ford product for $189-$199, something like that, for all 4 pieces about 12 months ago. Knew that I couldnt use the front but could use the skirts and rear fascia so not a bad deal.

Thats not a SAP rear is it? I thought SAP was same as SVT, only with different diffuser.

The lip you have on rear is the disco'd Ford Acces. lip.
