Funny about 6 weeks or so ago I called FRPP about my white rally wheels (EAP) and they knew of no paint issues. My clearcoat if flaking off too and my rims are only a year old (and not used last winter). If there is a warrenty issue they never told me. But I'd rather fix them then go though all the hassel and expense of sending them back. Is there any way to remove the clearcoat and recoat them? The paint under is good, it's just the clear (which looks like plastic to me). I like my white wheels!

Maybe Glass Joe can tell you who he was talking to at Ford Racing, That might help.
