Not bad at all, right in line with all the other SVT's around here.
Except mine
, I do have a little edge at 151.46 but I'm pretty sure it's all in the tune.
Except mine

Yeah, I haven't done no tuning yet. All I did was an ORP and custom cold air.
It also depends on what dyno your on, they are all different.
I just wanted a base line to see what I'm starting with befor my custom turbo. Yeah, yeah, yeah I was going to put the turbo on this year, but When I had the money the shop was to busy, so I spent it on my trucks motor

I know they're all different but if you look at all the recent dynos on local SVT's they all seem to be in the 143-146 range exept for mine and I actually dynoed mine back to back with the guy that got 143 so I'd call that a pretty good comparison.KRYPTO wrote:Yeah, I haven't done no tuning yet. Nothing wrong with 146, Mines got the tune which is typically good for a few ponies on our cars.
I've got a custom tune on the way, should be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

I won't go from a dead stop, My clutch is iffy as it is.
I'll run from any rolling speed though, You pick the gear and speed. 20 in first? 50 in second?

10 in first is a little under prime revs but whatever, Remember I have stock size 17's on mine so I've got a bit more speed in each gear than you've got with your smaller diameter tires.
Next time we meet up we can give it a shot, I want a relatively safe (from cops) place and I might stop at 99 but we'll see. I've been known to venture into "loss of license" territory but I don't really like to anymore.

sir. im runnin 215/45/17s
the smaller tires and rims give a mechanical advantage, like steeper gears, plus they are lighter( rotationaly) and create less friction( also less grip). but my one up is the the lighter unsprung and sprung mass to move. but id like to try, i have a feeling that the differance will be minute to whos faster. i really wanna get on a track(road course). but back on topic. even mini said the tire size would affect the dyno readings.

Hmm, I guess I havn't seen your car in daylight for a while. I thought you were running a smaller tire.focinite wrote:sir. im runnin 215/45/17sthe smaller tires and rims give a mechanical advantage, like steeper gears, plus they are lighter( rotationaly) and create less friction( also less grip). but my one up is the the lighter unsprung and sprung mass to move. but id like to try, i have a feeling that the differance will be minute to whos faster. i really wanna get on a track(road course). but back on topic. even mini said the tire size would affect the dyno readings.
I think it would be interesting to weigh the cars, I know you've removed some stuff but you added subs, amps and wiring.
A road course would be fantastic, We should get a bunc of guys and do a track day/school next summer.
