ok so i have are redish or pink fluid slowly leaking....it seem so only happen right after i have driven it or after it has sat all night. but it seems to not be constant. its my 2001 auto zx3 so i am thinking its tranny fluid.

any input on what it is or where it maybe coming from would be great!!!

I think your close. Get up under there and see if you can see were it leaks. Just don't have Nick come over and help...lol

Could be trans axle fluid, transmission fluid, or anti freeze, but I don't think the foci ever used that type of antifreeze.

thats definately gonna be tranny fluid. If its leaking, 90% of the time it either comes from a gasket (pan?) or the cooler lines (goes to radiator) well, if the focus has a tranny cooler that is... it might not

Which car?

I say power steering, The orange car is a manual and the oil shouldn't be red.

If it's the yellow car it could be trans as well.

Yes the focus has a tranny cooler (for autos) as part of the radiator setup.

its the yellow one Steve.....

i got a little time, very little to look at it last night and i think its coming from the pan gasket....but i wont know until i get a chance to look more carefully.

Slower than your stock focus.

pinkish? it power steering. what sid is it leaking? the pumps and racks are notorious for drips. i have never done a trans pan. it may be your cooler lines, they leak a little.

so it was trans fluid, i found the leak. all it need what a little bit of tightening and she is all good. i have pics of where it was leaking from if anyone cares...
