I recently picked up a F2 step header for my D2.0 for a decent price. Nice looking unit. I already have a Borla cat back so I want to replace the second cat with a high flow cat and then of course replace the mani-cat with the header. Would this be legal for a shop to do? If not then will they just replace the rear cat with a high flow as I can put on the header easily enough? Any recomendations as to a good shop would be appreciated.

Also I plan to see how loud this ends up being and then add a secondary muffler after the cat if needed. Once I get it up and running then I'll use the free dyno runs I won at last years focus show :D .

The muffler shop, is in hudson. Near the old amoco. It may have a different name now.

I've had them do 'illegal' exhaust work a few years back on a different car, they had no problem welding up a complete 2.5" exhaust, and replacing the cat with a test pipe for me.

Call them, or if you don't mind driving to the cities, there are a lot of performance shops (look at the sponsors on mnscc.net forums) that would also do a great job and give you a great price.

yeah a muffler shop will do anything even if it's illegal, because you can alway's claim that the work is fro "offroad use" only. even though they know it's bullshit. but i've neeve reven heard of a shop asking you that or makign you promise something like that. i just bought an f2 header and on the site it said the header was for "offroad intended use only"

There is a little like unkown shop kinda near vally fair. i don't know the exact location and the name has skiped my mind but ask around about them. they do amazing work. FULL exhaust on my friends BMW 2.5L for 150 bucks. they fabricate mostly everything. even the headers.
