SVT counter weight removal !

Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

So i just removed my counter weight on the transmission the other day and WOW it shifts great now , i have to order a weighted shift nob and ill be SET ! i dunno if any of you guys have tried this with the svt but theres a how to on Focusfanatics! check it out. Im also going to drill the weight off and reinstall the arm , they said it makes it a less notchy feeling . Ill let you guys know.

I've been thinking about it but I have to pull my battery to do it so it won't happen till spring for sure.

I've driven one with it removed and I did kind of like it.

eh, mines been removed since last summer...... it's alright, but i still like the feel of jason's (loxx) ST's better then mines...

If you want a weighted knob. I'll sell you my Focus Central aluminum knob for $20 (it has the reverse lockout).

Let me know. I bought something different for this year.

I also have that A/F guage too if you still want it.

i'm a big fan of the weight of my stainless steel shift knob, but not a big fan of the shape. It weighs about a pound
