OK,

I installed an Eibach pro kit and KYB springs. I also installed the Eibach sway kit. Now the car bangs, squeaks, and rattles.

the factory shocks in the rear are shot, they haven’t extended since i pulled them out yesterday. I am hoping that they didn’t cause the other bushings to fail. It sounds like it did as the new suspension parts all are ok and tight.

Any ideas, or what other things cause rattles in the wagon.

Thanks,

Sorry the story is so long.

I suppose it'd be easy to find out what it is by riding in the car...

But my wagon has H&R springs with Koni Adj shocks and struts, with SVT sway, and I don't have any squeaks or nothing.

It wouldnt be bad if i had someone else in the car, but i havn't had time to take anyone esle out yet. I think a 25mm sway might be to stiff.

It is really stiff, but you should'nt notice that big of a difference.

did you do front and rear sways?

Are the noises in the front, rear, all over? How about the top strut bearings? Does Eibach supply new ones in the kit, or were the old ones re-used? Is the upper strut nut torqued to 35 ft-lb?

Again, not sure about Eibach, but Ford Racing instructions want the weight of the vehicle on the wheels before the rear bar is installed. If it was installed and torqued down with the lower control arms hanging down, maybe there's stress in the clamp bushings or something, I don't know. Put the rear wheels on blocks or drive up some ramps and loosen the bar. Torque the clamp bushings and then the ones at the control arms.

Good luck man and lets see some pics of the drop.

It is only the rear, and sounds like the right to me. I think I got a bad KYB out of the box. If i was in the car for the first time, I would tell them that their shock it junk.

Ever figure out what this was?

Our ZTS developed a rattle in the rear over the weekend. Turned out someone (me) did not tighten the LR shock. :o

Yep, the rear right shock,. I torque it to specs in the air. This held the shock in the wrong location. the first bump I hit the shock would bounce up into the detent. I managed to repeat this 3x. This would cause it to rattle. But when i jacked the car up to look at it, it would pull it tight again. Moral of the story. Tighten everything on the ground. That is not easy if you have a drop and are overweight.
