Polly Bushing for the rear Dog-bone

Hey guys. I just ordered a set of polly bushings from CFM (and some other stuff).
Just curious if anybody else has installed these.
I'm wondering how difficult they are to install... or rather, how difficult that mount is to get out.
Do I have to support the engine or tranny on a jack before removing the bolts retaining the mount? or can I just take them out and swap it quick.

anyways, I'll post pics of the process when I get them in... hopefully some time mid-next week if it's nice out... but I wouldnt complain if they arrived this weekend

apparently the only hard part is getting the old bushings out of the mount...my mechanic had to shove them out with a press, but you should be able to sawzall them.

I did inserts in mine, I laid the mount across a bench vice and used a block of wood and a 3 pound hammer to knock the old inserts out and used the vise and a socket to press the new ones in.

Not real tough.

The side mounts of the motor are the primary mounts for supporting it, so no need to support the motor.

You just pull the two bolts and pop the mount out.

It's an easy swap, but yes, the hard part is getting the old bushings out and the new ones in.

I used a ball joint press and a large amount of grease to get mine to go in....

the best trick...and its fun....take a map gas torch and melt the old rubber ones out!!!! remember breath deep!!!!! it only takes a sec once the rubber is soft vice it and take a screw driver and bang on the plastic coller ....walla its out and your high as a jay bird.....man its great, i get paid to this stuff!!!!!

I already did it.
was super easy.

Vice
3lb sledge
a a ratchet.
was done in 20 minutes.

No more wheel hop... but I still dont like the engine moving as much as it does when I drive... er... mean-like. lol

my next project is going to fleet farm and getting some hard ware( rodends and a threaded turn buckle) and making a solid,no flex mount .
