I am normally NOT an advocate of vinyls. But I feel like doing something a little bit different. I don't know how to post pictures on here, but basically what I am thinking about doing is some "GT500" style stripes on my 5door SVT. My car is red, stock 6 spoke SVT wheels, and rebadged with black and chrome ovals and my build number on top of my front bumper. I would probably just have the vinyls say "SVT" or something like that.
Opinions? Anybody on here have stripes of any sort?
If it helps, my "back up" ride is a 69' AMX, it is still original paint so it is like a dark maroon color. I just want my focus to be a little bit sportier looking. The AMX is my "sleeper"

If its tasteful and done right I am okay with it. Now if you were talking flames or some other funky printed graphic I'd have to say no, just my opinion but some things should be paint and applied by an artist vs mass produced and stuck on. GT type side stripes and even hood stripes are okay in my book.

I could look great. but it could look terrible. it's all about the planning.
get alot of PSing done and see what looks best.
I always liked the vinyl work on mustangs and the DOHC VTEC stuff on stock Civic SI's. so you could definitely make it work.

I wear my sunglasses at night.
Well, I did it. Not overly happy with myself. Could someone tell/PM me how to post pics on the forums so I can show it?
Basically I decided to line up the stripes with the angle on the door moldings instead of the bottom of the car. I wanted to give the car a more agressive stance (by making the car look like like it was hunching forward more than it already is). At a glance I think it looks good, but then when you actually LOOK at the car, it just looks like stripes are crooked IMO. Very disappointed...
May have been a waste of money...After I get pics up I would really like honest opinions.
