I'm swapping out my back brakes this weekend, probably the fronts too. I think the rotors are still good, I might just get them turned but also thinking about replacing them. I'll be putting on performance pads and would hate to have them be shamed by pressing against old used rotors... ;-)

Here are my current options for replacing the rotors:

Red Rooster Imports $25/piece
Red Rooster Domestic $60/piece
Ford Dealer $80/piece (FORDSVTParts may have these for $65/each?)

Comments?

(I have 4 wheel disc brakes)

I found some EBCs I would like (I think they are what you have, 'Ultimax BlackDash USR Slotted Rotors') - they sound appealing to me because they are supposedly more quiet.. But I can only find a rear set in an 11" SVT disc.

I think that is what they were. No complaints here.

Do you have an SVT? If not, do you have 4 wheel discs?

Mine are only front at this time... But I can tell a lot of difference. Then again I did suspension at the same time. They are quiet with the EBC pads.

Gah, If they offered rears for non-SVT models I would have jumped on it. Guess I'll have to keep looking.

CFM has the rear slotted/dimpled EBC rotors for the non-svt applications. Kinda pricey, though.

The EBCs are $130 a pair/$65 each is only a little more than what the local stores sell "performance" rotors for ($40-$50). However after reading more at FF I'm leaning more towards solid rotors.

Wagner, Raybestos, and Generic are the "performance" brands I've run into locally. However, no one has the rear focus discs in stock, so it's a special order anyway. I think I'm just going to call TireRack Monday and order something decent from them.

I ended up getting Power Slot rotors.

I'm just hoping these merit the $300 tab for a set of 4... I'm kind of in the "why didn't I just buy the $30 rotors" phase right now lol
