OK, 2000 ZX3. My blower will only come on for speeds 3 and 4, but the A/C will only work when it's on 1 or 2. I can verify that the A/C works. My car has been doing this for a while. Since it works on 3, I figured it's not the resistor pack. The strange part is that my wife's 2000 ZX3 just started doing this exact thing last week. I've been looking around, but I only found one other person looking for and answer on this and there was no follow-up.

Anybody have ideas?

It seems awfully consistent to be a faulty ground, especially with the same exact symptoms on 2 cars. Perhaps I'll have to pull out the resistor pack and my meter and see what's up.

Sounds like a resistor pack to me too....my old grand prix had the exact same symptoms when mine corroded out due to good 'ol lake pontiac in the pass footwell.
