Rear coil spring compressor

So a couple weeks ago I got the SVT suspension system.
(thanks harold and frankjt96 for offering to help, for the TV)
And since I had to sell the TV for a speeding ticket I received on the way home I have been installing it myself when I have had time.
The only hang up I've had is the rear coil springs. I know the bolt on my lower control arm is more than likely seized.
So, I was wondering if anyone on here would happen to have a spring compressor that works with our coil springs,
and would be nice enough to let me borrow it for a day or so.

you can rent them at carquest, oriley, autozone, and places like that for like 15 bucks.

I got one from checker a while back but it was just too long, I'd have to get spacers on it. I figured the rest of the places were going to be similar, guess I'll try a different place and see if they'd work.

Usually for the rear springs, you don't need a spring compresser. You should be able to pull the arm down far enough, that you can wedge out the springs. It may take two people BTW to do that...

FAIL- No chance with SVT springs, he WILL need a spring compressor. I promise.

Maybe the SVT springs are different, but I did'nt need one for my stock springs, or for putting or taking out the Eibach springs.

I needed a compressor to get my stock springs out and multimatics in and I needed it to get the multimatics out and the KW's in.

That was with me sticking a 2x4 into the rear suspension and using it as a lever to push the suspension down.

When I did mine, my dad pulled down on the arms, while I yanked the springs out. Thats why I said it may take 2 people.

Makes sense, I was doing mine on jackstands by myself and I just used the 2x4 as a lever and put all my weight on it to push the suspension down.

Of course your dad may have more weight to use for leverage

Well, last time we did it, we used a hoist, so he could use the leverage...If your using jackstands, it may make it alittle harder...

It took you longer to respond than I thought it would, I suppose it must take a while to type out anything on that senior citizens keyboard with the four inch square buttons on it

ok, first get a map gas torch and heat the piss out of the nylock nut welded to the rear arm, this will alow you to remove said bolt. then with car fully, and i mean fully jacked in the rear and on stands( use a 4x4 under the rear sub frame center and be careful not to crack the evap canister) set jack under arm that goes from the center out and remove shock bolt, lower jack and tug spring out. to install cram spring in( this will require swearing and some way to stop the bleeding) jack up and insert shock bolt, you have now installed a rear spring.

I'm not even going to try to remove any rear suspension bolts, I don't want to buy control arms.
