Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

Like what if te government buys up bad mortgages then renegotiates them at the current value of the house and the taxpayers take the loss. That type of socialism? <<--That was John McCain's idea that he brought up in the town hall style debate. FAIL!

What's wrong with socialism? Some of the most successful governments are socialist.
Even so, Obama is far from a Socialist. Saying so makes you sound like Rush Limbaugh.

At risk of being a hypocrite, car forums should not discuss politics. There are plenty of other forums for the discussion. Its not like the ignorant on here ask questions to remedy their ignorance (like they do in regards to their cars.) To state what you already know, people tend to just post fiery statements that are usually totally divorced from reality.

An anaolgy: A new MNfocus member comes on here to post and makes a statement, "Like, Ferrari's are stupid! My Focus could could waste them all!"
This mnfocus member has never even seen a Ferrari on the street, but some guy told him about them once. And, he doesn't even know if his Focus has an SPI or a 2.3.
That would make many other members on this site to think lowly of this new member and he might get shunned. Or you'd think they were joking (but they weren't).

Please think about this before you post statements about politics. Its even more complex than cars.

Obama is the FARTHEST left member of the Senate. #2 Is a socialist. Tell me how he isn't? All his ideals sure are.

Why, am I not a fan of socialism? Well, for starters I have worked my ASS off to get where I am. I obtained a great degree, so I could work in and enjoy a great career path and make a very decent living. I did this for myself. (Yea, that's right, myself). Not for some random person on welfare.

We will never all be equal in america, that's whats nice about this country, and I'm not a fan of someone coming in, that is going to try to make everything 'more equal' by taxing the hell out of all the successful members of our country.

Call me pig-headed if you wish, but I earned what is mine, for me. Not for anyone else.

I'm just unbelievably thankful Republicans still hold senate majority. Or else I'd be completely freaking out right now.....

Yes, I do have a handle on what I'm talking about, and know a great deal of knowledge on the sociolist/marxist ideal system. I do have my BS in Sociology.......

Nils, I think you should be freaking out. The Senate is currently 50 Democrats, 49 Republicans 1 independent. After yesterdays election it will be 56 Dem 40 Rep, don't know how many independents. Here's a link look at the top of the page in the middle.

The book on the Obamakin has not been written. There is no doubt the guy has seen his fair share of racism and liberalism. His policies were all made up on the campaign trail and twisted to the flavor of the day. He rode in on the coat tails of Chicago's freaktown wonders Aiers the domestic terrorist, Wright the Black Theologian, and Father Flager the wigger.

He had no real dad. His mom a white girl. The GP's white bred. Born in Hawaii, lived in Indonesia for a few years sucking up the muslim thing, then back to the US to stay. He wrote a book about audacity and said he got loaded in more ways than one....

Word on Barry was he was very likeable. He honed his skills giving out other peoples money to the less fortunate. And so on.

Well, let me say, before jumping off the cliff, we have to take a deep breath and put any fears aside. The guy hasn't done anything yet. So, we wait, we listen, we watch. When he goes off in a good direction, we back him. When he goes off in the wrong direction we oppose him. When screws up, we call him out. But until then, we sit. We wait.

If he screws up royally we will re-elect him. No wait, that is what we did with Dub-ya. Get over the Ayers thing, McCain is connected to him too along with G Gordon Liddy his good buddy really, How many years did Ayers spend in jail for domestic terrorism? How many did Liddy spend in jail?

Huh, thanks Rod. I looked earlier this morning, and the repubs still had the majority according to Kare11 (local news go figure...).

Big Gulp.

I work my a** off, and have been since I was 15 at jobs to have money, and pay the taxes that they take out of my check for Social Security (which is similar to welfare, BUT, it's actually going ot elders who may actually be unable to work, not just fat lazy mother f'rs.) There were many times where I had two and three jobs, even while I was still back in high school, and right now I am even still working a job while full time at SCSU. I am working very hard to help this country imo, it's all the (here comes the bad word) hodgies that move here and just whine and bitch until we give them all the free suff they can handle.

Fuck this, i'm moving to Japan.

I'm moving to Japan too and taking the focus with me.

I'm one of those people with no set political affiliations, I vote for the person I think can do the best job for the country and in the last couple elections the Democrats selected major league losers to run for them.

This time it was kind of a toss up for me, Mccain has a long history of service but something about him just doesn't seem right.

Obama has his good points but I'll withold judgement on him until he shows what he can do in office.
