Oh, I don't want to be. Like I said, I hate customer service. I did it for 2 years and all my supervisors told me I was great at it, but I took way too much of it home with me.

I still have to decide what I want to be when I grow up, so I'm having trouble deciding what kind of classes I should take. I've done about 1/2 of the coursework to be an electrician, but I don't know that I want to do that. I'm seriously considering getting into network design.

Go the electrician route, once you've been in the field for a while you can make a killing.

A killing can be made, but there are guys that were in my class 6 years ago that still haven't gotten their 4 years of apprenticeship finished.

Yeah, one of our warehouse guys is HVAC certified but he hasn't done anything with it.

No offense to anyone but are the guys from your class actually trying to get their apprenticeships done?

Yeah, they've been benched. Can't finish the apprenticeship if nobody's taking on apprentices.

I work for a sub-contractor called Rec Serv, and we work for General Office Products for the bulk of our work. All my work at HCMC is through GOP. Within the last couple months, things have slowed to a crawl for GOP, so the subs haven't been getting any work (other than stuff like my account at HCMC).

Yes the all trades are very slow right now have been for 6 years. Projects have been started but then canceled because everybody is holding onto their money.

About a month ago there were 250 Sheet metal workers laid off in Minneapolis/St. Paul now there are about 450 laid off.

As for the BIR track I would do a Quater mile but would rather do a Track run.

I would spend every weekend in Brainerd/Baxter back in the day. Wensday nights were always a blast.
