I got the head from HRW, ty. Just figured I'd post some progress pic's for those that haven't seen them yet. I forget that most of you guys are banned from FF, lol. No clue if it will work or not, fingers crossed though. Hoping for at least 150 to the wheels, currently @135. So I'd guess 150 is pretty conservative.
I'm a bit further along now, about half way I figure, 6 of 8 ports are roughed in and 2 of 4 chambers are roughed in/polished.
I have to send my Dremel back to Wisconsin to get fixed again or I'd be working on it some more.
Steve, not sure if I'll keep the VCT or not. It's something dyno time will tell me. I did a before and after with the long runner/short runner and it didn't make a bit of difference. I am curious how the VCT would affect each though. Switching is going to be the tough part. Not sure if they will both run well off the same MSD box or not, same RPM. Something I'll have to play with.
I'm also waiting on stock specs for the SVT head, nudge nudge. I want to deck it but I want to make sure it's in spec before hand so I know how far I can bring it down (0.040" is my hope and run the thick SCE gasket and modify the pistons to clear).
now i thought on the intake port you want a rough texture to help mix the air fuel. but at the same time you want to keep air speed up. either way your still lookin at a bunch of itchin. a gut at work does his own head work as well he built this portin box with 2-4 sub woofer magnets to catch the iron , but with the aluminnuominmnimmmmmmm i guess yer SOL.

Peak horsepower will stay the same with the IMRC on or off, when it's off it defaults to the high speed runners. it's a huge difference in low end power though.
Good luck on the head specs, the service manual gives the same spec for an SVT and a regular Zetec. Your best bet is to do some test fitting and clearance checking, the old fashioned way.

Oh, you mean the one letter I accidentally left out but had fixed before you even had your post finished?
You're right, I have sunk to your level. I'm quitting work and joining my son in 4th grade, I think they'll let me back in.
