So what exactly is wrong with the SVT suspension to make it cost half the amount of say the Eibach Pro kit?

I see that the Pro kit comes with Dampers and the SVt does not, also the SVT only drops .5in compared to the 1.5in with the Eibach, but I need this as my winter car and have to carry more than just me around most of the time.

Is there anything wrong with going the way of the SVT to save a tad bit o cash? Will I be sad without the dampers?

Just curious.

well if you do some more looking you will find a kit with springs dampners and sway bars for around 280-300 dollars and the svt dampners are valved for a shorter spring so if you go lower than stock hight they will hadle it better. that is the way i am going ive got a small drop on mine so the dampners from the svt will work great for my daily driver but if you want more of a planted feel than the svt go with the ebach kit. ive been through a winter with my 1.5 inch drop.. any thing over 6inches of snow and the focus is now a very exspensive tobogen

I have the Eibach Pro System. Its not a real every day driver setup. It rides kinda stiff. While the SVT setup is kinda of in the middle of Stock and Eibach. Not too stiff, but not too soft. A decent setup. When I buy another Focus, I will probably go with teh SVT susp.

If you actually look in the Ford racing catalog, the SVT kit comes with springs, front struts, rear shocks, and rear sway bar. Everything you need, plus through Steve it's only $219! I'm going to buy the kit for myself for christmas.

Then comes the next question.

Who wants to put it in for me? Maybe if a few of us all do our suspensions at the same time we could do an install party or something? Too bad snow is going to show up soon and then we'll just have to wait until spring.

Spring schming, it can go in anytime you want it to go in provided that nothing is rusted solid. Then fun things have to happen and you need Josh around.
Slower than your stock focus.

Its a ways away, but if anyone would want to have an install party when I get my kit in late december, I have an insulated 3 car garage. Tons of room. No heater though (not a space heater anyways). PLus I have air tools, but no air compressor. Haha oh well.

i am looking into getting the SVT suspension because right now i have an eibach setup and my car is dropped very nicely works really well with the wheels but i have busted one of my coilovers on a bad bump and inturn it busted my deck, its a very rocky ride and i dont want to lose a strut or something like that so i am looking into getting the SVT because my car is more of a daily driver... so i would be up for an install party this winter if there is still possibly one going on...

Why do you you have to be such a jackass? My old man had to work his ass off to get to "yuppie vill". He put his ass through college after his parents took off when he was eighteen and worked hard for everything he has. Just because I live in a nice area doesn't mean you have to be a jerk.

Its all good. I shouldn't have reacted so extremely. Martini's are for weirdos and I don't live in THAT nice of an area. There is a guy down the street who is restoring a big rusty old tractor in his driveway so it should be a good transition area. If you want to feel really uncomfortable i'll show you my girlfriends neighberhood! I've been going out with her for two years and I still get nervous! (And there are way more Escalades then Jeeps in my neghborhood, but with the current gas prices they will all be driving Focus' in no time)
