Contour & Focus Tranny interchange

Do the Focus and Contour auto tranny's interchange? Mounts etc...

The car is a 1998 Contour 2.0

I doubt it as the manual transmissions aren't quite the same.

The housings aren't the same or mounts?

Actually I was thinking of the differences between a 2.5L mtx75 vs 2.0L mtx75... between the Zetecs they could be the same.

contours and foci have different mounting points. it sucks.

I don't have the car.

Its on cragslist and it needs a trans. I was thinking of having Jill buy it to get her out of that horrid Grand AM....
