Ok I know this is a Focus web site but I can't find a Contour one. I have been asked to replace the clutch in a friends 98 contour with the 2.0 ztec. How hard are these to do? I have done a few clutches in my time but never one on a Ford not to mention not on a Contour. You guys have helped me big time before hopfully you can again.
Thanks,
Paul

Should be nearly the same as a Focus with a zetec and mtx75... which shouldn't be overly difficult.
One of the biggest challenges will probably depend on how you're going to remove the tranny. Most would lower the subframe and squeeze the transmission out the bottom under the frame rail. The biggest challenge with that route is usually the subframe bolts, which can get pretty rusty over time. This method would also require some kind of engine support from above. Your other option would be pulling the engine/tranny combo as one out the top.
As for a contour site, check out www.contour.org/ceg-vb
