I'd like to see someone do it for under a grand, the only possible way would be with a free donor drivetrain and even then I doubt it could be done.

Drivetrain out of a mustang drag car, a cheap yellow focus roller, and someone that works at a fab/machine shop that knows how to weld.... hmm.... you never know might be happening as we speak...
