I have EnergySuspension bushings on my lower tranny/engine mount. And a VF mount on the passenger side(FocusSport/VR mount to rig in the blower). I think it did help alittle with precise shifting, but they shake the shit out of ya at stop lights with the air cond. on.
Pants too tight, wheels so bright!
I had all of them solid, never ever again.
I did it so I can get a first hand experience, and, shortly sold them off.
What some do not seem to realize, is, the mounts are designed to give, they need to be squishy. If they are not squishy, what takes up the slack? There is NO give. Your clutch and trans will see more wear. The car, especially with cams, viberates like a mother fucker. They where indeed awesome for those romps, I was getting 1-2 rubber and 2-3 chirps, some times w/o trying.
I highly recommend the lower trans, or, dog bone mount as it is called. Randy from FS has said this is the best idea between more power to the wheels and vibration. When they say the car will shake your fillings out, they are not shitting you.
Also, C-F-M was suppose to have a lower durameter poly mounts(softer poly), see if they got them or not, when I was checking them out, they had a lower ready to ship, a billet piece... I had all VF's, and when I do it again, it will be the dog bone and I will fill the trans mount in with epoxy, and keep the stocker on the pass side.
Oh, and pappy, sry for not returning your call, but, I sold them bitches like 30 year ago and changed the thread to SOLD, I am guessing umdivx told you I had some.

I'm still running all the VF mounts. I will not switch back. Sure you get some vibration in the cabin but that is to be expected. As long as you have a smooth running engine it's not that bad. Keeps your ass from falling asleep on longer drives.
As to more wear on the drivetrain, well I'll tell you when my stock clutch finally gives out. The mounts have been in there for 50,000+ miles and I have yet to have any driveline problems. 118,000 miles and counting on the stock clutch/pressure plate and zero signs of slipping.
