Fog Blinker Mod?

I was looking at my roommates 90s geo ... and hatched an idea. Since the stock foglights I run are shit anyways, why don't I turn them into the blinkers for my car, since I'm running the upper euro grille with my sawed off factory blinkers behind it. The geo runs blinkers down there in the bumper. Would be unique, wouldn't be hard. Any thoughts?

It would be simple.
Cut wires off of fogs (leave 4-5 wires off the fogs as a 'pigtail'.
Take the two needed wires from the blinkers (since I'm sure you already cut the middle wire to kill them as running lights). Extend two said wires, and connect them to fogs (it shouldn't matter which wires in the fogs hook up to the two extended wires, it wont make a difference).
Done.

You would think it could, it's just turning it off and on. It might shorten the life of the bulb though.

Ataru(on FJ) did this years ago on his car since he got pulled over one day for just running the fogs by themselves. So he get pissed and did this.
