my a/c button is on but i didnt hear any clicking sound (normally they would if it works). I looked around on FJ and they suggested to check the compressor connector is fully plugged in. so my Q is where is the connector located?

between the clutch head and compressor. but your problem is not this. take a paper clip and bend it into a u shape, find the accum/drier and disconnect the presure switch connector. look at the the male end( the end with the wires) if you have four holes look to see if there are only two that are pinned, put the paper clip in the pinned holes and the compressor should kick in, if not you have a bad connection at the compressor or you have a bad clutch head. if it does turn on your problems are low charge or bad pressure switch. have a good day now.

Bad o-rings or a bad line would be my bet, Low freon will stop the clutch from cycling.
Get it looked at, if you don't fix the leak it won't help to add freon.
