Loud (Belt) whine on startup?
This is a really loud whine on startup that lasts untill I start driving for a little bit, does anyone else have this problem? I wonder if it could be like an idler pulley or something. Or the tensioner associated with the idler? I have no clue, but it makes my car sound like a piece of $hit.

My car always whines....
But seriously, check your tensioner, those have a tendency to fail. Also it could be a bad idler pulley that is starting to drag on the belt.
My advice is pull the belt off (since it only takes 10 mins to do) and spin everything by hand.

Yup. Its the tensioner. My wagon does it too. The focus needs a new tensioner every couple years or they go bad. It'll also effect other stuff on the car and not run right, like heater blower and whatnots.
